In default settings, a price chart window on the MT5 trading terminal looks like this.

Step 1: “Right click” on the price chart and select Properties at the bottom. Alternatively, you can press F8 button as a shortcut to open the properties window.

Step 2: Change to Candlestick from the line chart and adjust the chart scale to your preference. Scale is the amount of information (candlesticks) you want to see on the charts. 

There are other settings, but we only chose to show the ones we think are essential. 

Step 3: Click the Colors tab on the top.

Step 5: Under the scheme, select Color on White. By doing this, we are replicating the classic TradingView chart on the MT5 platform.

How to Change Background Color on MT5 WebTrader

Login to MT5 WebTrader and your price charts will look like this. Unfortunately, the black-on-white color scheme looks bland, and it is super hard to trade on these charts. So let’s make this chart more professional looking.     

Click the “Candlesticks” icon on the banner to change your chart type. 

Now click the three horizontal lines in the top left corner. Next, tap “Light Theme” and change the Color Templates to “Green & Red.” 

There you have it. This chart looks much better and is soothing to the eyes.
